Lets see,, Monday our first day home I had an appointment for a “field test” for my eyes.  So on my way there I dropped Loralee off at home she had stayed here while we were away to look after the dogs. before my eye test I went for groceries since we had very little here and then on to the eye test. When I got home my girls were here it was Great to see them!!!  Karla worked 4 to midnight so they stayed down the night. Tuesday afternoon I went back to the vision clinic for my results from the field test. the test was great. no problems there,, so I decided to ask the dr if she would check my glasses. Ever since I got them I have felt so tired all the time, I had been to the dr and had just about every blood test you can name to see if there was anything wrong, everything came back fine, but I still had no idea as to WHY I was feeling so darn tired all the time. So I thought well might as well have the glasses checked out,, Well it turns out that I have very bad stigmatisims in both eyes. and this was my first time with bifocals as well.(Which I was told it would take a while to get used to the bifocals so I didn’t question it much).. As it turns out, Vogue mixed up my lens’s  and the stigmatisims in each eye are very different so it was making my eyes work REALLY hard to focus which in turn was making my eyes VERY tired which in turn made ME very tired. So back to Vogue to return the glasses and have them send them off to be corrected (will take 2 weeks).  Vogue called when I got home to apoligize profussely and offer me anothe pair free. So I guess Wendell will get some sunglasses since I already have mine. (and yes I had her check those as well and they are fine).

Wednesday we had to take Gizmo for his final Vet visit.

Wendell and Karla took him I stayed home with Brooke, it was a very sad day for all of us. and the next morning (this morning) when Wendell got up for work and put Tango and Rudy out for their morning duties Tango got upset because he kept barking at the door wanting wendell to let Giz in he was always the one to let us know when he was ready to be let in and Tango got upset that Wendell left for work and he wasn’t in.. he even tried to get out to go “fetch” Giz when Wendell was leaving for work. They are wondering where he is for sure.

Today Brooke and I spent most of the day outside. she had a great time smelling all the flowers and going for walks .

After we got back from our after supper walk , it was bath time for Miss Brooke so we got that done and she had her bedtime snack and then played until Mommy got back from work to pick her up. She had a very full day and only one short nap this afternoon so I imagine she will sleep very well tonight!

After Karla picked up Brooke I got some much needed vacuming done and a little dusting. I’ll have Brooke back early tomorrow morning so I’ll throw a load of laundry in before she arrives.

Hopefully tomorrow will be another nice day and we can get back outside again, we are going to have to find something to use as a sandbox for her she loves being out there playing.

I am so thankful Brooke is such a healthy happy baby, my grand niece has a little girl just a few months older than Brooke and she has just found out she has cancer, they found a large tumor in her little belly, and apparently the cancer has spread to her leg bone, her ribcage and skull. She is back and forth from IWK in Halifax to Sick Kids in  Toronto for treatments and to remove bone marrow to harvest (they are going to do something with it which will make it healthy so they can put it back into her after her radiation and chemo treatments). Its very scary when a small child is so sick. I can not even began to imagine what my dear grand niece is going through right now !

The weekend is almost upon us again, I am hoping it will be a nice weekend so I can get a few more things done in the gardens.

Well we had a great visit with Kevin and Shan. the week went by really fast !!  But we had a lot of fun, we went to a Blue Jays game, went go karting (which I completed my 10 laps ahead of the rest of them LOL)  Did a little shopping, took in a photography trade show put on by Henry’s , went to a place called Edward Gardens which was beautiful and had some great meals at different restaurants. Today Karla and Brooke came down, Karla is working 4 to midnight so they are staying the night. I went and wrote my test for work at 6 so Brooke stayed with “Grumpy” while I was gone.

she has some new favorite words now.. one of which is “ohhh Farrrted”!  LOL  She will proudly announce when she has made a noise in her pants, LOL .  She has also started doing the cute face and saying Hiiiiiieeeeee ,  or patting a soft stuffed animal and saying ohhh niiiiice, or Pretttty.

When I was putting her to bed this evening she took to jumping on the bed singing bouncy bouncy bouncy,

Apparently she got a bit lonesome for Grammy while we were gone and had a little melt down when she was told that I wasn’t home so she couldn’t come visit so Karla offered to call us and let her talk to us, but we must have been on the subway at that time because she couldn’t get through.  So she is a happy little girl to be visiting for the night tonight.

Well today is my first official week day of unemployment but it sure wasn’t a sit back and relax day for sure !

I managed to get the living room torn apart carpet steam cleaned and the furniture rearranged, cleaned out the bookcase, tidied up the dining room , put Brooke’s table and chair set together that we got her, (note all the dvd’s ect. they now have a new home in a new 3 drawer storage container).

sent my mothers sewing machine over to my brothers for safe keeping and bbq’d supper. after supper I went up to WalMart and picked up a couple of the plastic 3 drawer chests to store some stuff in to try to cut down on the clutter all over the coffee and end tables and nooks and crannies in the dining room. So one of them  now holds all the DVD’s , Games for the PS3 and Wii and the controlers ect for the gamestations.(all the junk on and around Brookes table and chair set.)

the other one will be put in the dining room for the things that tend to get stacked on the table and phone tables. (batteries, disc’s, mail, ect.).

Tomorrow will be finishing up the downstairs, giving the kitchen, dining room and entry way a good cleaning. and putting the stuff in the other storage chest.  and if there is time after all that is done I’ll make my way up stairs to get the bedroom and bathroom cleaned. the bedroom I think is going to be a fairly big job. it needs a BIG cleaning. and the spare room needs the bedding changed ect.  Wednesday will be laundry and general tidy up (and finishing up whatever rooms I don’t get done tomorrow). Thursday get packed for our trip. Pick up my sister and bring her over for the night so she’s here for the dogs in the morning when we leave, we’re hoping to be on the road by 6am or so.

Earls mom took Karla Brooke and I out for Mothers day brunch on Sunday at the Rodd Mill River Resort. Lovely brunch and a nice little visit for us moms

Here we are getting ready to leave from Karla and Earls home for the brunch. After Brunch we headed to Viv’s for a little visit and then finally home for the evening.

I’m hoping to have my house in tip top shape before we leave to go to Kevin and Shan’s so that when I get home I can actually relax a little. and the BIG cleaning will be done so that I won’t be spending my days trying to get it done while Brooke is here.  I expect I’ll be kept busy enough just keeping up with Brooke and job hunting.

On Saturday Wendell and I spent the morning travelling from store to store pricing BBQ’s we finally decided on this one.

it has a burner on the other side which is nice. Wendell spent the afternoon putting it together and ready to BBQ for supper, while I got my vegetable garden ready and planted and planted my hydrangia bush and coneflowers put in the flower beds.
