Our little Brooke is not feeling very good the dear little thing started out Friday with a cold .

She kept getting worse over the weekend so Karla took her to outpatients in O’leary on Monday they basically looked in her ears and said one was a bit red so they wrote a prescription and sent her home. Well it didn’t help. she hadn’t had anything to eat since Saturday afternoon. no appitiate at all and would only drink water. She kept this up until yesterday when Karla and I took her to outpatients here in Summerside. by this time she looked she was doing this all the time.

once in the E.R they got us in and gave her some meds there, within 10 minutes she was up and running around playing (something she hadn’t done since Sunday) they did Xrays and swabs of her eyes and throat.  the Xrays showed she has Pneumonia. So he gave he new meds and stuff for her eyes.  When we left the hospital to go to the drugstore to fill the prescriptions she was showing even more signs of improvement. she was wanting something to eat !!! so we grabbed the first thing she asked for (a bag of cheesies) and gave them to her,, yes not the best choice but hey if she was willing to eat we were willing to give her whatever her little heart desired !! she woffed down 7 or 8 cheesies !!  after talking to Karla today to see how she was doing I know she is on the road to recovery she slept all night and Karla says she was snacking all day ! 

Nothing worse than a sick baby. Breaks your heart when they are so sick.  

Hopefully by the weekend she will be back to her old self and eating regular meals again. she lost 1.5 lbs in the 5 days she wasn’t eating. that’s a lot for a little body to lose!

The weekend promises to be a nice one too. temps going up to 18+ degrees !! YEAH!!

Saturday is Kevin’s Birthday his last year in his 20’s !! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN !! 

Work is winding down, only 2 weeks left I’ll be back home getting into my summer routine before we know it !!

Isn’t that suppose to be April Showers bring May Flowers?? Unbelievable the amount of snow we got over the Easter weekend.  Hopefully that will be the LAST we see of the white stuff for a LONG LONG time.

Over the east weekend we got the new blinds up in the livingroom.

These were being installed as I was serving Easter dinner. (Turkey and all the fixings). So in the time it took me to get the food on the table and start carving the turkey the guy had them up and was on his way out the door. 

I’m going to get a few pictures of my front flower bed and put them on here, I have some actual blooms out there.. I can’t believe it considering the weather we’ve had !

on top of the toys and “sweets” Brooke got for Easter she also got her first pair of “rubber boots” 

and of course in her hands is her “cell phone” Notice she is wearing her Tinker Bell Jammies she LOVES tinker bell.

This past week she has started jabbering and gabbing pretty much none stop. when we pick her up from Amanda’s on our way home from work she makes a bee line to the livingroom to grab the photo album and starts pointing out Kenyan (Kevin) and CHCHannna (Shan) , Dada , Mom and then she proceeds to give everyone in the pictures kisses making the long drawn out kissing noise.. she’s too funny.  on the way home in the car she talks to all the kids that are just getting out of school yelling out the window.. KIDS !! HI !! Bus !! BYE!!  today she was talking about a Tractor  (not sure where she seen that I missed it LOL)  She’s quite the little story teller now !

Over the weekend her and Karla had a cold today when I was at Amanda’s to pick her up, Amanda’s little one Calleigh was sick poor little thing you could just tell by looking at those sad little eyes how sick she was.  and I was sneezing and filled up all day at work chest and head cold. So I expect that Brooke will no doubt catch it all again. 

Karla and Earl are going to have an evening out this coming weekend they don’t get out for a “date night” very often so we are going to keep Brooke.  Karla will be staying down the night Friday night with Brooke and then spend part of Saturday with her little brother before heading home to have her evening with Earl. Brooke will stay here with us for an additional night.  So I will be taking her with me to do grocery shopping. She’ll have fun.. she loves talking to everyone in the stores. 

We were really busy at work today first REAL busy day we’ve had for a while so it was nice but at the same time with not feeling very well it was kind of a stress filled day ! `Here’s hoping tomorrow is better health wise at least !

Well been back to work now for almost 3 weeks. time is flying by only 4 weeks left after this one !! 

We were like a lot of folks this past weekend, woke Saturday morning to everything floating in the basement.. the heavy rain and high winds flooded the basement. but on the upside, almost all the snow is gone!!! Spring is on its way(I hope I hope).

Spent the afternoon Saturday visiting Karla and Brooke. She had a great time in the mud puddles. as you can see here.

Apparently she has no fear of the “Mooo’s” either she will sit on a bale of hay  while they surround it and munch away. (under her fathers watchful eye of course).

She has started saying please and “tank ou” , and says good bye to just about anything or anyone going in the opposite direction, the whole time she was outside saturday everytime a car went down the street she would wave and say “bye bye car” .

They grow up so darn fast !! I don’t know where the time has gone ! 

This week was really slow at work, and I knew I’d be going for bloodwork this morning so when they were looking for volunteers to take a day off (without pay) I figured I would since I was going to be heaven knows how long waiting for my turn in the lab I’d just take the day off.  So I got the biggest part of my weekly house cleaning done today. 

Here’s hoping tomorrow there is some actual work to do, makes for a loooong day when there is nothing to do !! I’d rather be run off my feet than be consently looking for something to do. Then of course it is a 4 day weekend !! WHOOT!!  I’ll have Brooke on Friday and Monday. and am planing on cooking a turkey dinner on Sunday. 

I hope every one is having spring like weather and is able to get out and enjoy it !!
