Arrived home on Saturday, our flight got in at 6, got home around 7, just long enough to stop and unload the luggage, change clothes and head up to O’Leary, my friend Doreen lost her mom while we were away and her wake was Saturday evening, so we headed up to give our condolences and then headed back home finally arrived home for the evening around 9:30. 

Wasn’t to long getting my shower in and going to bed, I was pretty much worn down by that time. 

We had a wonderful week with Kevin and Shan, we arrived there at 8 pm Saturday evening and went straight to Kevins and go Brooke ready for bed and down for the evening. 

Sunday morning we got up and headed to the Muddy Duck for breakfast, after which Kevin and Earl headed back to the house with Brooke, while Karla Shan and I went down town to get our hair done, after finishing up there we headed to the rink for a hockey game and met back up with the boys and Brooke. 

was close to 9 before we got home from there.

Monday we went downtown to do a little window shopping and clothing shopping for Karla, we headed back to Kevin and Shans after a long day of shopping at the Eaton Center. 

Tuesday was Karla’s Birthday and she wanted to just relax for the day so her and the boys and Brooke stayed home for the day while Shan and I headed down town again and got our nails done, bought me a pair of new sneakers, and did a little clothes shopping. then headed home and made supper before the crew headed out to the bars for Karla’s Birthday celebrations. I stayed in and had a quiet evening with Brooke.

Wednesday the crew was a “little under the weather” so we didn’t do much until later in the afternoon, when we headed down town again and went to Honest Ed’s and  IKEA  to look around and then over to the Manderin for supper. 

Thursday was the day we went to the zoo. now up to this point the weather had been soooo nice we didn’t even need to wear our winter coats just hoodies and sweaters.. well that’s what we had on when we went to the zoo.. BRRRRR Thursday was colder more like the temps had been before we left home here. (should have worn our coats !! ).  After the zoo we headed to Margolions for another buffet supper. Earls cousin and his little girl joined us at the zoo and for supper, Hanna is 5 days older than Brooke and they were instant friends. lots of kisses and hugs passed between the 2 little girls. was very cute to watch them.

we were really late getting back to Kevins palce that evening. 

Friday after having a visit with a friend of Kevin and Shans (Darrel and Louis and their little boy Evan)  we again headed downtown in 2 groups Kevin and I went to do a little sight seeing while Karla Earl Shan and Brooke went back to the Eaton Center. Kevin and I looked at helmets for him because I wanted to put some $$ towards one for his birthday.  after the helmet shopping we went to china town where I got a new purse ( the sling kind. called the travelmate) and another hoodie type sweater.  we were just about to head to Henry’s (where Wendell sometimes gets some of his camera equipment) when the other crew called wanting us to come meet them at the Eaton Centre because Brooke was tired and they wanted to head home but Shan and I had planned on doing some more looking around down town so Kev was going to go home with the rest of them and the baby while Shan and I continued on so we met ups and split up again this time Shan and I , and we headed to Henry’s and a few other camera shops, I was able to find Wendell a nice sling backpak for all his camera gear.  Here is a pic of Brooke and Evan

and then Saturday we got ready to head back to PEI we flew out at 2:30 . 

all in all a great trip. it was full and we kept busy, lots of  all you can eat buffets, lots of walking and lots of window shopping. 

Today I basically did up some laundry and will now get things ready to head back to work in the morning, YIPPIE.. ohh its going to suck getting up at 6 tomorrow !!! 

And that was our week in a nutshell. Hope everyone had a great week.  I know I did and I enjoyed the spring weather we had for most of the week in Toronto although it was a bit of a shock to the system to come back to the big snow banks and cold temps again !

well the count down is on.. 2 1/2 more days of work, and 5 more days till I’m at Kevin and Shans for our visit .

I had went to Zellers a week or so ago and picked up a BIG suitcase. for $50 , well this week Canadian Tire had a 4 piece set on for $40 so I went and got the set and will take the one Big one back. 

Yesterday Vivian came and picked Brooke and I up to go to her grandson’s birthday party, and what a great idea Tammy and Scott had for a birthday party.  Everyone met down in Bonshaw and we all went on a horse and sleigh ride thru the woods !! there was a light snow falling which made it an absolutely PERFECT day.  

After the sleigh ride we went back to the “cottage” for hot chocolate and cake.  it was for sure a different kind of birthday party and the kids had a blast !
