Friday evening Gizmo managed to sneak out on us and was gone for just over an hour before we knew he was gone. 

we went looking but couldn’t find him.  Tango and Rudy stayed in the entry way and didn’t try to get out even with the door open.  Thank goodness.. however Saturday morning we got a call from the shelter,, someone had picked Giz up around 11 friday night seems he decided he needed to go check out a party down the street and hung out there until one of them decided to turn him into police, who in turn turned him over to the shelter.. well $50 later he arrived back home at 9 Saturday morning none the worse for ware.  Guess even as a senior he wants to shake his bootie every once in a while !! 

Karla got a promotion at work she will now be working Monday to Friday day shifts ! She’s pretty happy about that, she’ll have her weekends off again and no more shift work ! doesn’t take her long to move up !  Smart girl !! 

Saturday after picking Giz up and bringing him home I picked up a friend and we went west,  I finally got the stones layed in the cemetery had 6 new stones made for my six siblings who had passed as babies.  the markers were either missing or torn apart so we needed new markers.  I figured the Stones made of cement would last a little longer than the markers.  so that is done, after that we went to the west point lighthouse and had some lunch and then took a nice long walk on the beach.  After arriving back home I got in the car with Viv and her and I headed to Ch’town to go to Micheals looking for yarn. 

She is working on some sweaters, I want to start a new blanket for a friend who is expecting a baby in March..  

so all in all  a good day with good company  :) 

Today I made a trip to local veggie stand and stocked up and came home and prepared, potatoes, carrotts, yellow beans, beets, beet greens, turnip and meat for supper.  and made a nice apple crisp for dessert

then I spent the day watching movies.  after 2 movies I got the prepared food cooked up and had supper. 

Last Sunday my boy Greg Biffle won the 1st cup race , today he took the checkered flag AGAIN , so that’s 2 wins 8 to go !! 10 races in the race for the cup. GO BIFF !!!

Update Monday morning,,, When dropping Brooke off today Karla informed me she is now taking a few steps !! 

Nine months on Thursday and starting to take a few steps already!  little monkey

Random Things About Me…
1… I come from a very large family, after 28 yrs my husband has finally met all my siblings but not all my nieces and nephews or cousins !
2… I have 1 granddaughter who is the apple of our eye !
3… We have 3 dogs, 1 peek who is 15 1/2 yrs old and 2 shelties.
4…I am currently trying to get back to a healthy weight and improve my overall well being.
5..Every year we have a big get together with friends and family at our house on Christmas Eve. this year we will also be having Brooke’s birthday party that evening.
6.I love to read.

Well Wednesday and Thrusday I didn’t have Brooke so I decided it was time to tackle this mess I call my house. 

Wednesday Loralee came over and we spent the whole day cleaning, scrubbing floors, dusting, vacuuming ect. finally finished at suppertime. then yesterday she came over and helped me clean out the basement, we had some flooding down there, didn’t realize just how much until I started moving stuff,, holy wet !!  lots of boxes (most of them empty thank goodness) and a few boxes of old books from college ect all had to be thrown out. even the dog kennel that is down there was full of water ! 

we spent all day lifting and lugging stuff out of the basement to the shed to store it until we can get it hauled away to the dump.

in moving stuff to clean and repacking stuff into dry boxes, I came across a little crock pot that we had gotten Karla for Christmas a few years back, both her and I had forgotten about it, I had bought her one for Christmas last year, and she went to use it a few weeks ago only to find it didn’t work !! so it was nice to find this one for her. 

the girls will be down tonight for the weekend. I think the plan is to go to the pool tomorrow afternoon. its been a while since Brooke was there for a swim.

Wow the time is flying by, 

yesterday I didn’t have Brooke , I had a fairly busy day just the same.

first I walked down to use the vibe machine and then walked to the store and then home. from store to home carrying about 20 lbs of groceries. I was getting pretty tired by the time I got home and then I got to thinking,, 20 lbs,, that is close to what I’ve taken off !!!! so really I was just carrying the old me home today ! 

after lunch I decided to tackle my flower beds, the poor things have been very neglected this year due to me having the grandbaby pretty much every day. so I put on the old clothes and set out to rectify that. I completely cleaned out my big flower bed , took everything out of it and worked the soil all up to get it ready for the 75 new bulbs that I have coming to get planted for next year. and then I set out to clean up the other 4 beds , I pulled weeds, thinned out plants, cut back the dead ones ect. then I had to get ready and get my butt in gear and get cleaned up to go to my dr appointment, they finally got results back on the x rays I had done back in JUNE ! apparently I’m going to need to see a specialist about my wrist there are clusters of little cycsts in there that have little barbs on them and the barbs are breaking off and floating around scrapping on things which is what causes the pain I get. 
after the dr appt. i came home and peeled carrots, turnip and potatoes to put in my pot roast dinner. and after dinner back into the old clothes and back to the flower beds to finish up the clean up and work up the soil some more. 

On top of all the work when I was coming into the house last night after finishing up the last of the outside work I tripped on my deck and came down on my knee and hand so I hurt the OTHER wrist and have a big black bruise the palm of my hand and knee.

I think I got my work out yesterday don’t you think ? haha
