Where oh Where is Spring ???

even the animals are getting fed up !!

I am ready for some NICE WARM weather !! I want to be able to get out and start cleaning up my flower beds !! get things all ready for the flowers to start coming up and peaking thru the ground !! to see the first spring blooms !!

Thank Goodness I have the most beautiful baby in the world to help pass the time until Spring time decides to finally come along.

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend !! I will be spending the rest of the week enjoying every minute I can with this sweet little bundle of joy because after this week I’m back to work and it will be a few weeks before I get to see her everyday again.

in the meantime folks lots of “good vibes” going out for some nice spring like weather !!

Wow the time flies by when I’m off work !! Karla has today thru to Monday off for “march break” since they don’t usually do march break they just gave them an extra day over the Easter weekend. Brooke is a joy to have around, She makes it so easy to get up and get going in the morning!! We are going to have her for a sleepover on Saturday while Karla and Earl get away for the night for Karla’s birthday.

Not a whole lot to talk about today, just thought I would update the blog so you wouldn’t think I fell of the face of the earth. Gizmo is having a hard time , last night he made a big mess,, if you remember last summer he had surgery on his bottom for tumors,, well we were told then that at some point he would not be able to control his bowels ,, well its happening,, looks like he’ll have to go for his final vet visit soon. 

Here is a little something that was in our local paper today,, you know money in the form of actual money is becoming obsolete when this happens.

Well I’ll only be off for 2 weeks, but in the 2 weeks I will be looking after Baby Brooke in the mornings so I’ll at least have a good reason to get out of bed in the mornings

Karla and Brooke came down yesterday, Karla had a bunch of stuff to get done, before she heads back to school. and we wanted to get the new carseat in the car before Karla started travelling everyday with the baby,  so Brooke and I hung out together while mama did her errands.  DJ was in for a visit around supper time, after she left  Karla got Brooke Bathed up and we had supper, and then Brooke and I hung out for another little spell and let Karla go spend some time with a friend of hers who is expecting in a few months ..

This morning Brooke woke at 8 am,, so she slept from 7:15 pm right thru to 8 am !! What a girl She always seems to sleep better here than she does at home, and the only thing I can think of that may be the reason behind that is, they are using a wood stove right now and maybe the air is a little dryer , and with wood the temp. isn’t going to stay consistant throughout the night.

Today Karla , Brooke and I went to visit Wendells Mom (great grammy) she is home now, and seems to be doing pretty good.  then we headed out to Travellers Rest to visit with Dawn and her Mom and Nan.  Brooke LOVES her new carseat, its one of the 3 in 1’s and of course it has her sitting much higher then the little one she was in before (which she hated ! cried everytime with the little one),  at one point today in the car she was laughing out loud !! Karla said WOW thats a first !! laughin in her carseat! she must like it !

after the visiting the girls headed home.  and I headed out to do a little grocery shopping and print off some pictures.

Now there was over a hundred pictures to print so I took the Thumbdrive to Superstore and did the one hour thing, went thru the whole picking the pictures and how many of each ect. which takes a while when there are that many photo’s.. I picked them up one hour later and they are TERRIBLE,  and I wasn’t the only one not pleased with the one hour thing,  we were told we could redo them and have them print instantly at no charge … ok do you have ANY idea how slow the machines are for printing there??? if you have a dozen pictures then ok,, but 185 ?? I DON”T THINK SO .

I left there Not impressed at all, so I’ll just go back on Monday (they made a note that I get the free printing due to poor quality prints) and I’m going to just ask for my money back ($40 worth of prints) and I’ll just go to Walmart and have them done there.

Tomorrow I plan on just having a ME day,, maybe do a little reading ,,maybe watch a little TV, (maybe I’ll watch some of these DVD’s I bought that I never seem to get the chance to watch). and then Monday (weather permitting) I will be hanging with my favorite 3 month old buddy

ohh and Monday is also Karla’s Birthday

Well I’m finished work for another couple of weeks anyway, go back March 31st for 6 weeks.

Karla is due to start back to college on Monday so I’ll have Brooke for 2 weeks and then her other grandmother will take her while I’m back at work for 3 weeks, then I’ll be on the night shift for 2 weeks and I’ll take Brooke again in the mornings, and then she’s back to her Gramma Wallace’s for a week and then I’ll have her from then on in until Karla finishes up in Ch’town.

and we’re going to have her for an over night on easter weekend while Karla and Earl go away for the night to celebrate Karla’s birthday.

Wendell’s mom is getting out of hospital tomorrow, not sure if that’s a good thing or not, she fell yesterday, she’s still pretty unsteady on her feet but they think she’s ready to go home . Which I guess would be ok if she wasn’t living all alone. But I guess they need the bed so they are kicking her out !

not much else new,, I’ve hit my 1 month mark now on the no smoking, I’ve had a few slips but nothing major. So I’m happy with my progress.
