its FRIDAY !!! woohoo !!

That’s kind of what I’ll be doing all evening, being lazy,, but I have LOTS to keep me busy tomorrow,

I want to get my housecleaning done and get my christmas decorating done. everything except the tree !!

Plus I have neglected the laundry all week so have LOTS of that to do too !!

I have so much junk to get rid of , papers to go through , sort , shred , throw out ect.

Tomorrow will be the perfect day to do it all too because we’re suppose to get some nasty weather so a great day to be inside accomplishing something.

Now the down side to this is.. Wendell will be home all day and I hate trying to clean when he’s home,  we have two totally different idea’s on how things should get done, ME I like to get to it and stay at it until its complete ! I can’ t sit and relax knowing that I still have stuff to do.  WENDELL on the other hand hates when I fly around all day getting stuff done because he thinks you should do a little then sit a while , then do a little and sit a while..

SO we get on each others nerves in that respect !

maybe it will be nice enough that I can get him to take the dogs for a while and maybe return some movies that need to go back to the store

Sunday I’ll do a little grocery shopping , and maybe even do some more wrapping !

I want to get most things done this weekend because next weekend is pretty booked up and well after that its just getting to close for comfort to not have things done !! the weekend after next I would like to get the tree and have that up … seems a never ending list of things to get done between now and Christmas no matter how early you start there is always something that still needs to be done !

Of course in between all this Karla could have the baby,  I am telling myself that when she has the baby , and if she stays here like she’s planing to,,, whatever is done at that point will be what is getting done, I’ll want to spend my free time spoiling that new grandbaby not rushing around trying to make over my house!

So with a little luck and some help from my sister Loralee tomorrow will see a transformation of my house

Well Karla was to the Dr today for her check up and was told she is at 1cm and the baby is in position, so she can go anytime of course she could stay at a cm for quite some time before going into actual labor.Here is what she lookes like right now.

I put in for my time off over christmas today so I will be finishing work on Dec. 24th at noon and won’t go back until Jan. 2nd. will have all over Christmas home with Kevin and Shan.

the dogs are all doing well here they are during “story time” aka treat time

notice how attentive Rudy and Giz are !! LOL I think they KNOW what’s in that container.

Wow time is flying by fast, I’ve gotten more emails with the christmas countdowns on them than I can count !!

Although I LOVE Christmas I am MORE excited about 2 other things right now,,,

1. the arrival of our grandbaby (only 3 weeks to go !)

2. Kevin and Shan arriving home (27 more sleeps !)

I am excited for Christmas to get here but not for the gifts or anything like that, I am excited because I will be surrounded by the people I love more than anything and that is the best thing in the world !!

I had thought we wouldn’t be attending any Christmas parties this year, but my beautiful Sister in Law Viv called this evening and informed me that the local Lions Club is having an appreciation Christmas party for people who have helped out over the years and I am invited, So on Dec. 8th I’ll be attending a Christmas dinner where they will serve Chinese food and then have entertainment and dancing after . Sounds like a great time !! I am looking forward to going

here are some random thoughts for you for the weekend

Wow can’t believe its been a week since I put anything here !! where does the time go ??

Before we know it Christmas will be here ! not to mention everything else that is going to be happening in the next few weeks. we have 1. babyshower 2.arrival of baby 3. our anniversary 4. my birthday and 5 Christmas !! wow !!

Karla has dropped I’d say she’s likely going to go around the 10th, and that’s the day after her shower. She said she’s been having pressure (likely from the baby dropping). I just don’t see her going to her due date.

Karla and I went on Friday and got the border for the nursery, just have to pick up the wallpaper now and once Earl gets the room ready for us we’ll start putting it all together.

I’ll try to get a picture of Karla this week and get it posted on here

Wendell and I went to Charlottetown last Monday since we were both off and did a little shopping, I finished buying for him and he started mine,, well I found a really nice winter coat and got it but that’s what he’s giving me for Christmas, haha now I just need to find Winter boots to go with it, something that is comfortable/warm enough for walking the dogs yet nice enough to wear to work. haven’t had any luck finding any I like yet.

About the only things left to get is 1 more thing for Karla (just have to pick it up) and Kevin’s gift and I’ll be done !! whoohoo, well other than the stocking stuffers.

We’re planning on having our get together on christmas eve again this year, that way everyone can get a nice visit in with Kev and Shan as well, I’ll have to work for half a day that day but will have the rest of the afternoon to get the food all out and I’ll have Shan here too so I’m sure she’ll give me a hand.

Rudy and Tango are taking to playing more,, they chase one another around and “frolic” thru the house.. haha especially if they miss an evening of walking , they go a little crazy.. Rudy is starting to figure out what all the dog toys are for and will even play with them some.Gizmo is doing well, the tumors that were starting to show on his bottom again have gone away ! both Tango and Rudy are always checking him out and licking him so not sure if that has anything to do with it or not but he’s doing really good, would never guess he’s 14 and a half years old !!

Loralee and I rented a couple movies this evening,, we watched, Chuck and Larry and Mr Brooks, both were decent movies.

I managed to get some laundry done today and a little grocery shopping, as well I went thru the christmas decorations to see what I had and decided that the tree would have white lights, and blue and silver balls with silver and blue ribbon for decoration this year,, so I picked up some new lights and a couple small packs of balls, and a spool of ribbon.

in the next few weeks I’ll start taking the vases of flowers and big plants from downstairs and put them up in the bedrooms to make room on tables for the christmas ornaments that I have and I have quite a few !!

I’d like to start decorating the 1st weekend in December

Will likely get the tree around the 19th and get that all decorated. since its going to be a real one this year I don’t want to put it up too early, scared of it drying out.

On November 11, 1999 Terry Kelly was in a Shoppers Drug Mart store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At 10:55 AM an announcement came over the store’s PA asking customers who would still be on the premises at 11:00 AM to give two minutes of silence in respect to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for us.

Terry was impressed with the store’s leadership role in adopting the Legion’s “two minutes of silence” initiative. He felt that the store’s contribution of educating the public to the importance of remembering was commendable.When eleven o’clock arrived on that day, an announcement was again made asking for the “two minutes of silence” to commence. All customers, with the exception of a man who was accompanied by his young child, showed their respect.

Terry’s anger towards the father for trying to engage the store’s clerk in conversation and for setting a bad example for his child was later channeled into a beautiful piece of work called, “A Pittance of Time”. Terry later recorded “A Pittance of Time” and included it on his full-length music CD, “The Power of the Dream”.This has become my favorite rememberance day songs. As with other years rememberance day has arrived wet and cold. last night we had a little snow come down, my sister was over to watch movies and when I took her home around 11 last night it was dirty out and hard to see while driving. this morning the rain had taken over and no signs of snow were left.but while the snow was on the ground I found out that Rudy LOVES the snow I took him out for his last “bathroom break” when I got back and he had a ball out there he didn’t want to come in he ran in the snow and when I threw some up in the air he’d jump and try to catch it.  He’s going to love winter !Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the long weekend.
