Well time is slipping by quickly, before I know it Monday will be here and I’ll be back at work. I’m hoping Rudy will adjust to me not being home for 8 hours a day, he’s been my shadow ever since we got him home 3 weeks ago !

The night before last I took the boys for a walk down “the old spa road” and they had quite a little run as usual , the only thing was it was running on pavement and poor Rudy suffered a scrapped paw pad, now he has a sore foot, so last night he and I stayed home while Wendell took Tango to the Friendship park, Rudy looked like a lost soul knowing that he was missing out on his walk, it was pretty sad but I didn’t want him to do more damage to the paw, ,, This evening we went out to Vivians and let them play with the dogs out there and of course Rudy wanted to run because he missed it last night, and now back paw is sore as well, I’ve been cleaing them with peroxide and then putting the spray on skin on them to hopefully help them heal its keeping him from licking them that is the problem so a couple of times I have put the cone on him to prevent him from doing just that and he HATES it ! when he has it on he won’t hardly look at me he gets so embarressed !! I feel so bad for him , hopefully the paws will heal quickly and he’ll be back to his old self soon.  If he continues to have paw pad problems we may have to get him a set of doggy boots to wear when he is out playing until his pads get toughened up enough to withstand the hard running that he SO loves to do.

yesterday I managed to get 6 homemade pizzas put in the freezer so now my freezer is offically FULL. I can’t get anything else in there !

I got a call from work yesterday as well , but I wasn’t home I was up  at the medical center with Karla for her Dr’s appointment, (baby’s heartbeat was an even 150) She’s doing really good !

anyway this morning work called again , they were calling to offer me a postion in an area I hadn’t worked before , which would have been great BUT they didn’t realize that I was due to come back to work next week, so once I told them that they couldn’t offer it to me because it would run the same time as the job I’m doing.  Oh well at least they are thinking of me and that’s good to know !  I’ll have the program I normally do and be done Feb. 29 and then will likely be back April 1st to do the short 6 week program that I did last year.  and that’s fine, then I can babysit my grandbaby while Karla goes back to school to finish up her course. :)

Other than that not much going on, going to go and watch survivor and enjoy the rest of the evening :)

thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend folks !

What I did today
Ellen | October 22, 2007 | 8:36 pm | Blogging | 3 Comments

today started off pretty slow, didn’t get out of my pj’s until noon !!

then I had to run over to work seems I missed one of the papers I was suppose to sign last friday so I went and signed that.

The it was off to the dentist for a cleaning and check up . all is well there !! woohoo done for another 6 months !! YIPPIE

Elva picked me up from the dentist and I went up town with her while she picked up a few items at Zellers. then I came home.

once home I started getting some of my “to do list” things done, took the garbage out, cleaned off my counter and washed up some dishes and then got into making bread. The whole house smells so good while bread is baking !! After setting the bread I started some laundry.

I set 7 loaves of bread (don’t they look Yummy) :)

After that it was time to throw a pizza in the oven and get supper underway, while Wendell took the “boys” outside for a few minutes, while the pizza was cooking I decided to clean the livingroom windows and put my new curtins up I got in Petticoatiac yesterday.

after that we had our pizza and I got my bread put in the pans , and we left to take the boys down to Linkletter, for a little run.

they had a great time !! by the time we got back home my bread was ready to go in the oven so I put the 1st 4 loaves in and just sat back and watched some tv. so here it is 8:30 and the last 3 loaves have come out of the oven !!

Tomorrow  will be a busy day,, beds to strip, going to take down all the curtines and get them washed up. my floors need to be scrubbed again,  and I need to do another bathroom clean :p (yuck hate that job) . and of course the regular dusting ect.  But I’ll have most of it done by mid afternoon and can maybe get the boys out for a little walk.

Wednesday I plan on spending the day making 6-8 homemade pizza’s to put in the freezer that will take most of the day.

Hope everyone had a great day and was able to enjoy this beautiful weather we’ve been blessed with !!

thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening !

For anyone who owns a dog
Ellen | October 20, 2007 | 5:15 pm | Blogging | 1 Comment

I found this poem/ letter and thought it was ohhh soo true !! I clipped it and framed it and now have it hanging in my entry way,

My Dog Lives here:

My dog lives in this house. You are welcome to come and visit me anytime
but we have a few things that you must understand before you visit.
I vacuum and clean daily but my dog lives in this house too.
You may be leaned on and find him in your lap a few times but he
does this because he loves people and wants to say hello.  So if you
feel that you are too good for his love then you are not welcome here
because this is his home too.

My dog is well mannered and very clean but if you are one of those
people who think all animals are dirty and smell, then go away.  You
are not the type of person that I care to associate with. If you don’t
like the sound of barking, then my home is not going to be a comfortable
place for you to visit.

Do not expect me to lock my dog in another room during your visit.  I
have trained my dog well so he will not do anything to you except
maybe want a pat on the head. I will not subject him to feel as
if he is being punished by locking him away for no reason.  That would be cruel.

When you walk into my home, be careful not to trip on a stuffed toy or
ball. These are my dog’s treasures and I will not take them away from
him just to show you that I keep a clean house.  He knows where
all his toys are. They may not look like much to you, but to him, they
are worth more than gold.

You see, this is OUR home.
We have been together since he was a small puppy scampering around
the house.  I raised him into well mannered, beautifully behaved dog.
I am proud of him.  I consider him my personal gift from God.
He has done nothing but give me his endless love and devotion for many
years. I love him dearly and want to make his years happy ones. As
happy as he made mine.

When you go home to your family, he stays here with me.  A fine and
loving companion. He is MY family and I wouldn’t change that for the world.
When it was cold and there was no heat, we kept each other warm. When I
was sick, he stayed right by my side, as I did his when he
was not having a good day. A better friend I could not ask for.

When no one else cared, my dog did. He has given me nothing but
pure joy and I love him endlessly.
So please understand that I am not being rude. I’m just looking out for
my best friend.
