Work is winding down, only another day and a half left, but I did get another offer yesterday, I’ll be going back for 6 weeks on one of the yearly projects , so I’ll be home for a month and then go back on April 2nd and the work is until May 11th , this is great it puts me in another pool so that if other projects come up I have a chance of getting a call at least. the only down side to it is,, We have our reservations booked for May 11th weekend !! I’m waiting on word from my supervisor as to wether or not it will be  a problem to finish on the 8th instead of the 11th, I’m told by others that this project is pretty laid back and they didn’t think it would be a problem to have the time off, that they may even consider taking me in the Wednesday before the start date so that I still get the full six weeks of work. there are 3 weeks of evening shift from April 16th to May 4th but the rest is day shifts so half and half of day and evening shifts. Thats’  ok by me

the pay is way less than what I’ve been getting I’ll be going from a top level CR04 down to a start level CR02 level for this  project. but again its the fact that it puts me in an additional “pool” for other work projects that may come up.

So its all good , just have to see what they decide on me having to finish on the 8th verse the 11th.  Hopefully the other folks I talked to are right and it won’t be a problem,, our trip is already paid and the tickets to the Nascar Race have already been bought so we don’t want to miss out on that, too much invested in it now!!

Tomorrow evening Tango will arrive home. 

He’s getting all prettied up tonight, they are bathing him and grooming him before we pick him up.

Today was a pretty slack day, with work winding down and folks moving to new work stations (the ones who are staying in the building to go to other area’s ).

Tomorrow I’ll meet with my Team leader for the P.O.F. program(payment on file) I’ll be going into in April and then get all my forms and papers for this program put into a secure lock box to be put away until I come back next November.

After that I’ll gather up all the information on the files I’m unable to complete for various reasons (waiting for Reps to mail in information ect) and get those all transfered over to whomever will be taking over my workload.

This year isn’t too bad I only have 6 files to pass on.

nothing much else to report on at this time,,been  pretty quiet, Elva got the lighter case on and all the staples removed today. so  its much easier for her to manuver around now. the 1st cast was really heavy.

there were really good buys on at Northern Reflections again Monday.. I got a couple more of the soft shirts, and a mock neck , regular price would have been $140  I paid $27.00 !! gotta love sales !!

Karla is working on a family tree for her school project, her instructor told them it wouldn’t be tooo bad they only had to go back as far as the grandparents.. Karla was like, yeah easy for you to say !! they were told to do it on a bristle board.. LOL Karla told him ok but mine will likley be enough bristle board to go around the whole classroom.. LOL

he didn’t think it was that bad,, that is until she brought him down all the names of the family members and their spouses and children ect.. haha she was like ok lets see.. 36 aunts and uncles,, 135 1st and 2nd cousins and that is just my side of the family.. haha now on top of all the family members they want birthdates, death dates, if there are any health issue’s or other issue’s like any kinds of abuse ect.  this poor kid has her work cut out for her !!

Well its nice and sunny here this morning, the sun is shining right in the window above the computer desk here , directly in my eyes ! so if there are typo’s its the suns fault.. haha

Wendell is still battleing the cold he was really sick Wednesday and Thursday he stayed home both days , well he came back home thursday after his appointment at the Q E for some testing they were doing.

Being in the schools he has a better chance of catching all the flu bugs and stuff.  KNOCK WOOD I haven’t caught it yet.

I got my contacts and have been wearing them the last couple of days, I think I finally found contacts I can wear !! because of the stigma in my eyes I could never get any that 1) fit right or 2) didn’t move around on the eye,  these ones haven’t moved or anything , its great!! woohoo might be able to start wearing contacts more often now !!

been a pretty quiet weekend, I didn’t get up Saturday until almost 2 !! guess I needed the sleep !! got my grocery shopping done and then Lora and I picked up a couple movies to watch, stopped to check on Elva and came home to make supper and settle in to watch our movies.

No big plans for today other than finishing up my laundry.4 more sleeps and Tango comes home, 5 more sleeps and I’m all finished work !!

Shan’s  Birthday was this past Friday Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!

and tomorrow is Amanda’s Birthday!!  Happy Birthday Mandy!!

Well yesterday I finished work early, then spent the afternoon visiting with Tammy Jo and Loralee, Tammy took me up to the vision clinic to pick up my contacts.

Lora and I stopped by Elva’s to see how she was getting along now that her daughter is gone back home, Karen stayed with her from Tuesday (when she got out of hospital) until yesterday.

She is getting around pretty good she has crutches and a walker and she’s learned how to manouver around the apt, pretty good with those.

its almost that time of year again where we all start filing our taxes !! we’ve recieved all our slips and forms except for Karla’s tuition slips.  once those come in we can file.

tax time hurts!

the count down is on,, 5 more days until Tango comes home and 4 1/2 more work days for me at work.

Wow time is flying by !! hard to believe the week is almost gone again!

One week from today we take the new “baby” home and one week from tomorrow and I’m all done of work !!

can you just see the two of them this christmas,, LOL we have so much fun watching Giz open gifts

I’m sure he’ll teach Tango soon enough how to get into those great toys on Christmas morning!!

We have Tango’s appointment made at the Vets for April to go in and be fixed, and we’ve been buying the things he’ll need when we pick him up,, he has a new leash , collar, food and water dishes, and bed, some time this weekend I’ll pick up a new toy or two for him as well ( some tennis balls from the dollarstore or something), Giz has enough for the both of them but it will be nice for him to have something that is just his as well.

Giz is loving it because when we buy something for Tango to get ready for his homecoming Giz gets something too.. LOL

tomorrow is a short day for me get to come home at 11:30 , today when I got home I did some tidying up and got supper ready its now in the oven (sheppards pie). I was expecting company for supper, but she’s not feeling well so we’re just going to get together for coffee later on.

That’s ok tho, got a few things done up so I dont’ have to do it tomorrow

Well Mondays are generally a blah day anyway, and this one was that, ever have one of those days were your body just wants to crawl into bed and sleep the day away ?? that was me today, unfortunatly they frown on that at the office so I didn’t get to do that :p

Elva did not get out of hospital today, they had her up and moving around and apparently she will get out tomorrow.

Her daughter is going to go pick her up and the original plan was for her to go stay at her daughters but she’s since decided she wants to be at her own place.  So her daughter will come down and stay with her for a day or two at least to make sure she’s able to get around ok and everything.

stayed up waaaaay to late last night watching deal or no deal and other shows , finally hunkered down for the night at 1 am.  the alarm going off at 6:30 was like nails on a chalkboard this morning !!

So tonight I am off to bed at a decent hour, I’m heading to bed now!!  Karla just called she is back in town , she had to go to Ch’town this evening to  update her servers course (for working at the legion), and with the roads being just a tad messy and slippery we were a little anxious about her going down and then getting back home,, especially with all the horrific accidents happening lately on our highways!! anyways shes almost home she’s going thru the drive thru for a burger and will be home in about 10 minutes so I can go to bed and sleep soundly without worring about her.
