How long will it take you after the new year to be able to get the year RIGHT when writting it down ? I know it will take me a while before I’ll be writting 2007 without first crossing out the 2006 that will be on the paper before I think of it !

What is everyone’s plans for New years eve ? We didn’t make any plans, other than to try to have a nice quiet evening at home .

Amanada’s (our niece) little guy broke his leg the other day, sledding down a hill, poor little guy, he’s got a cast from the top of his leg to his toes !! He’ll be going on crutches for the next 3 weeks and then they’ll put a smaller cast on just below the knee. Amanda is also due to have her baby any day now, she’s hoping for a new years baby

Last night I took Loralee to get her hair cut and get a few groceries, dropped Jen and Jaycee off at the mall to do their thing while Lora was getting her hair cut, after that we dropped out to Amanda’s for a quick coffee before heading home at 8:00.
Once home I got the bathroom cleaned and started this weeks laundry and got the new set of sheets washed up that I bought the other day at zellers, and got them put on the bed, got most of the decorations put away, just have to take the tree down today.

So today I’ll take the tree down and clean up the house put the christmas gifts away and then Lora and I have to go uptown again, we’re going to get a bag of potatoes from the warehouse where they are a little cheaper. and also go to the bulk barn to get some of the special flour she needs for baking, we’re going to try to experiment a little with the muffin mix she found that she likes, we’re thinking if we mix half the mix with the other flours (which is a decent price at the bulk barn) it will give her twice the amount and stretch her $ a little further.

So since its now just past 1 I really should get at my work or I’ll never finish it all today !!

Well its all over for another year !!

Yesterday Wendell and I enjoyed a quiet lazy day we didn’t even get out of our PJ’s all day.  That was nice!!

Today we got up bright and early and headed to Ch’town to bring the car in for repairs,, we dropped the car off around 8:30 and got our “loaner” car and headed out to enjoy the day, we made stops at Wendell’s work where I met some of the guys he works with and seen his office, then we were on our way to browse around the stores, first stop was the Brick, we picked out a nice new couch that was half price, that will be delivered on the 11th , we’re pretty happy with that purchase, after that we headed to pets unlimited, cuddled with the bunnies and looked at all the fish, then we went to the new Boston Pizza in town for lunch, and then up to  Future shop and the english butler, where I managed to get a bunch of things for friends for next Christmas :)  we stopped at zellers and got a few more good buys in there and were able to scratch off a couple more names from the list for next christmas as well.

all in all a pretty enjoyable day, we didn’t rush at all and just looked around and enjoyed the day.

Our Christmas was wonderful, Karla got her dad a camera for the xbox and we hooked it up and Kev hooked his up and we had a virtual Christmas with Kev and Shan we watched them open gifts and they were able to watch us open ours. was the next best thing to having them home !!

Well we can dream of a white christmas but it looks like it will be a green one here.

Yesterday we got out of work around 1, I then came home and Wendell and I went and picked up Loralee, we went and had a little bite to eat, and then dropped Wendell back home here, Lora and I continued on to the stores to get her shopping done.

We finished up around 5 or so, we headed back here after dropping a few groceries off to her apartment, Jen and Jaycee headed up to visit with Grampy so they will be up west until Sunday.

Loralee and I got my house all cleaned up last night and wrapped her gifts up.

Today she’s going to come over and we’re going to start getting the food ready for tomorrow, Chili, meatballs, taco dip, and do a little baking, I have to pick up some more of the special flour she is able to have so I can make a pie crust for her and make her a pumpkin pie. and I want to whip up my apple crisp for Monday.

I have to make another quick stop at the store today to pick up a few items I forgot the last trip there, dog & cat food, things like that.

Got my laundry just about all done for the week again.

Later that day:

Well got my last minute groceries , had Wendell’s leather coat to the seamstress and had it fixed, picked up Loralee and headed back home, we manage to complete the following,

Chili is made,  Meatballs are all ready, taco dip is made, Laundry is done, apple crisp is made, stuffing is made, and we made a pumpkin pie for Loralee.  All this plus keeping ahead of the dishes,  and taking a few minutes here and there to visit, first with Tony and Angie, then with Tammy Jo and then I took Loralee to the library and dropped her off to browse around while Tammy and I slipped in to see Viv and Ruby for a few minutes. Viv gave me the lend of her punch bowl for tomorrow evening.

got back home and continued making a few things 3 lasagna’s are now in the freezer for after Christmas.

The only thing I did manage to forget to pick up today was apple juice!! I have the stuff to make apple cider tomorrow but no apple juice, I’ll have to run out tomorrow to get that.

We’ll have to bring the little fridge up out of the basement tomorrow too.

Other than that,, (and of course heating everything up again tomorrow, and setting out the dishes and utensils ) I won’t have to do too much tomorrow!!! I hope :p

Someone in the Summerside area is going to have a very good Christmas, a ticket on Wednesday nights 649 draw was purchased in town here and it has the winning #’s for the tag on it, so either someone is holding a winning ticket or someone is getting a winning ticket for christmas !

Please send a prayer out to Sandee that she will be well enough to fully enjoy this Christmas season.

tonight I have a few errands to run up town, and get my meatballs ready for the potluck for tomorrow.

tomorrow we will likely be out of the office by 12:30 or so.

tomorrow evening I’ll take Loralee to get her shopping done up, she has a few little gifts she’d like to pick up.

I’m sure the stores will be hectic.

Saturday will be spent cleaning up and getting the chili, taco dip and other finger foods ready for Sunday.

Sunday evening we’re hoping all our friends and family will be popping in to visit.

I hope everyone is able to sit back and relax a little now , its almost time to be done of the last minute shopping !
