Movies

Today I’m going to stay in and watch movies, I have 3 to watch before they have to be returned tomorrow.

I have Wedding Crashers, Red Eye and The Man Who Cried. I’ll come back and give my opinion on them later :)

Yesterday I finally got my hair cut, very few people know how to cut hair with a razor, rather than sissors, but there is one lady at First Choice hairdressers who does it , and I was able to get in to see her so it is all good. :)

I also went up to pick up a few groceries so I thought I would check out the new Sobeys store , its a nice store from what I can tell from going around the parimiter, no way was I going to even try to get up and down the aisles, I only had a couple things I needed to pick up anyway so I was able to get it all just around the outter edge of the store, but I did notice one thing, have you ever been told by a nutrisionist that when shopping try to get most of your groceries from the outside parimiter this is where all the fruits, produce, meats ect are that are what your suppose to have, the aisles are basically the “junk” food you really don’t need.

Well this new store did not follow that trend, when you first go in there is the fruit and veg section (good) and right beside it is the case where they are making pizza’s fried chicken ect. (same as the superstore), then you start going around and you get to the bread and then meat sections,, so far so good right, well you only went to 1 cornor of the store now from that point all the way around to the cash registers (2 mor cornors to go) its all frozen foods, ice creams, ect.  in between the breaded chicken and fish you’ll find a section of dairy then you get to the frozen pizza’s ect and then down the side where there is frozen veggies there is the butter and cheese section, then your into the frozen waffles  ect. So anyone who is trying to “be good” and only shop the “good for you ” parts of the store, you’ll have to go all over,  not sure if I like the layout of the store or not, ( I don’t usually shop at Sobeys anyway) but I’m sure once one got used to the layout the store would be fine, its just with it only being open a week it was still way busier than I was comfortable with, so I just got what I needed and got outta there.

ok I’m off to go do some movie watching :)

Good morning Ellen, hope you aren’t too tierd to work today after watching three movies.
Paul does most of the shopping. He prefers Atlantic Superstore over Sobey’s. I work at a Clover Farm, it’s affiliated with Sobey’s so the store brands are the same, they are all part of the Loblaws chain.

I made cabbage rolls last week, since we only eat two each at a meal it lasted til yesterday. Can you freeze cabbage rolls? I know you freeze a lot of stuff so I figured you’d know.
    Hugs,
    Faye

We don’t have Sobey’s out here but we do have the Superstore. You go there if you need exercise because the store is huge and the dairy section is waaaay at the back of the store. I go there for cat food because their prices are the lowest.

Glad you got a good haircut. The girl who cuts mine uses a razor as well as scissors and thinning scissors…I have super-thick hair.

Enjoy your day watching movies. Take care and sending you hugs.

P.S. And sending hugs to Faye too since I can’t get her comments to work without freezing.
