Did you vote?

Did everyone get out and vote today? Some folks don’t bother to vote at all but I think that is just wrong, you have the ability and the means to vote you should go and vote.

I’ll be at work when the votes are tallied, so it will be midnight before I find out what happened.

Its very cold here today! I keep waiting for the big storm to hit us, I can’t believe we’re getting close to the end of January and no major storms yet! well we had one there back in Dec when we got a day off work due to the weather , but that was it! one of these days we’re going to get up to a big pile of snow and be snowed in for a couple of days!

Only 2 weeks until survivor starts folks!! there is going to be 4 tribes starting out, men vs women , older vs younger. and as they get voted off they will be sent to another island by themselves. should be interesting this year.
got this in my email and thought it was fitting for the day:)

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is Politics?”

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is Politics?” Dad says,

“Well son, let me try to explain it this way:
I am the head of the family, so call me The Prime Minister
Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.
Now think about that and see if it makes sense.”

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is Politics?” Dad says, “Well son, let me try to explain it this way:

I am the head of the family, so call me The Prime Minister Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People. The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we will call him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense.” So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.

Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent’s room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny’s room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy say’s to his father,
“Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.”

The father says, “Good, son, tell me in your own words what you
think politics is all about.”

The little boy replies, the Prime Minister is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit.”

Yes I voted! My daughter called up from her bf’s and wanted us to go as a family, Homer came too, we walked. They wouldn’t let Homer vote though! He doesn’t know he is a dog yet so I just told him he was still too young,LOL!

Some snow this morning the plow went by our road but I can still see some grass so it can’t be too much. How about you Ellen? (I need a “snow” day, it’s the only “vacation” I get all year!)
    Hugs,
    Faye

I voted but my vote got cancelled out because my hubby voted for a different party than me….lol.

    That’s a cute joke!

Hope you don’t get too much snow if the storm comes. Take care on the roads.
