Can you believe we’re heading into November already!!!

I’m off to make my cabbage rolls

Today we decided to take in the dog show in ch’town, we had a wonderful time, met some great people and some beautiful animals. We did meet a lady whom I hope we will be going to see in Cornwall to put our names in for 1 (or 2) Shelties. (when the time comes for us to get our next “kids”).

There was one Shar pei (wrinkle dog) there that was pure black, his name was Dr. Phil.. he was a real cutie too! Lots of beautiful Labs , some really cute and cuddley Papillons, mini pinches, Bernese Mountain Dogs, and boxers to name but a few .

We spent about 3 hours walking thru petting the dogs and talking to the breeders, A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!!

did a little christmas shopping as well so we are just about done. not a lot left to pick up now, still have a few things to get for Wendell. and he still has to get for me, and I have 1 more person to get for which I know what I’m getting I just have to get it done. so its getting there, I’m going to start wrapping stuff next week I hope.

Well today was another bakingcooking day, I managed to get a double batch of chocolate cookies, a double batch of Jumbo raisin cookies, 2 pizza’s , 2 lasgana’s and a crock pot of chili made. Wheew the freezer is filling up!!

I started this morning off by putting a color in my sisters hair for her, and then got right into the cooking. I am just about done now, I want to set bread again and make a batch of Cabbage rolls and that should just about be it for a while.

So far we have been lucky in the weather, Wilma didn’t come quite as close as expected and I just heard on the news this evening that northen N.B is getting snow ! so far all we’re getting is still rain. I’ll take the rain for now thanks, I still have outside work to get done before the snow hits!!! hopefully there will be a day or two in the next few days that will be decent enough to get out there and tidy up the flower beds and cover up some rose bushes ect.

Well yesterday Trina came over and helped me finish my painting , the kitchen is now complete!! Thanks Trina !!!!

Today I’m going to set bread and get a start on my baking.
We are suppose to get the tail end of “Wilma” today, they are calling for 90 km winds and lots of rain. hopefully it won’t get toooo bad.
I have to go down to the basement and give the deepfreeze a good cleaning and get it plugged in so I can start putting my stuff in there now that its time to get going on the baking and making meals ahead.

Have been working on a blanket for my Sister in law DJ, I have it almost completed. another couple of evenings in front of the TV will complete it I think. I’m Crocheting it so it goes fairly fast. once I finish it my niece wants me to make her one too.

Am also trying to get some reading in, I’ve found a new favorite author Eileen Dreyer so I have a hard cover of her’s that I’m reading.

Hope everyone keeps dry and warm while Wilma goes past us !!

Later that same day:

Well its now after supper, but I did get a few things done today, 6 loafs of bread, an apple pie, an apple crisp, and 4 chocolate Zucchini loaves done, and a double batch of molasses cookies. So everything is in the freezer minus 2 loaves of bread, one we had at supper time and one I gave to a friend down the street.

Today was a great day went to Ch’town with a friend to take her car in to be serviced, we did a little window shopping and then returned home, didn’t do much of anything for the afternoon,this evening I met up with my buddy Rhoda at DQ and enjoyed a nice peanut buster parfie(sp?). Then I came home and was catching up on some more shows I had TIVO’s and got back to working on the blanket I’m making for DJ and realized I have it about 2/3 of the way done. Won’t take long to finish it up now hopefully I can have it done for her when she comes down to visit again next week.

Nick and DJ were down on Wednesday we had a great day went shopping got another gift for Christmas all finished up Karla’s Christmas presents are now offically completed, just need to wrap them up now. All I have left is Kevin’s , Shan’s, Wendell’s, and a little something for Duston (Karla’s boyfriend) and a little something for Wendells’ great nephew Ben. I pretty much know what I’m getting them all it is just a matter of picking it all up. I’m going to need to start wrapping stuff soon my poor closet is getting so full of bags and stuff. LOL

only 2 more weeks until I return to work, Trina is going to come over the first of next week and help me finish my painting we will likely be able to get it all done in a day with no problem. and then I have to start my baking and putting a few meals ahead in the freezer. All in all I should be ready in lots of time to return to work

Also Next weekend I want to get down to Ch’town to see the dog shows that will be taking place.

I was looking around my flower gardens the other day and to my surprise, my yellow rose bush is STILL blooming!! 5 more roses on it right at the very top. the yellow ones smell soooo nice.

I have to get a few things gathered up for treats for halloween too, crazy eh? am almost all ready for Christmas but not for halloween.. LOL
