Work

Ellen | September 30, 2005

Well work called yesterday I wasn’t home, I was out helping Amanda do some cleaning at her new place. So I called this morning thinking maybe we’d be going back to work early this year, but no such luck they are calling to let us know that they are running out of daytime seats so they are polling everyone to see who would “prefer” working 3:30 - 11:30 , they need 25 of the 60 people to work nights, I did ask when they thought we would be going back and was told “likely Nov. 7th” but they will be calling in the next couple of weeks with the exact dates. So doesn’t look like there will be any “extra” time added on but at least I did get called back. Just hope that it may run a little longer this year. Nov. to end of Feb or mid March is not much time.

I’m going to go with Amanda again today and help her do a little more cleaning, hopefully we’ll have the whole place nice and clean BEFORE they start moving things in.

Karla is enjoying her new job, and is getting used to finally having evenings to herself again.

It was very windy here last night, Wow the wind was really howling out there all night!!

Last night I noticed that the Parrot fish were getting very aggressive toward the little ones in the tank so I went to take a closer look and put my hand in the tank to move one of the items in there, the big fish came right over and nipped at my arm, this is VERY unusual for them. So I got looking a little closer there are Eggs!! they have laid eggs !! that explains the aggressive behaviour so I scooped out the other fish and Algea eater and put them in the fishbowl. Now I’ll have to find something to put them in , there are just to many of them to keep in that little fish bowl for very long!
Most times the eggs will not hatch according to what I have read on line, but if the eggs don’t get fertilized they will eat them. and they seem to be very protective of them at this point. so we may end up with baby fishies :D

another move

Ellen | September 27, 2005

Well my niece Amanda (babygirl) and her family sold their home and are in the process of getting ready to move to their new home. She is pretty excited about that, each of her kids will have their own bedroom (big bonus for the kiddies). she took me to have a look at it yesterday, its a quaint farm house type of home, older with all the charms of the country yet is still just on the outskirts of town. I think she is going to be very happy with it, she is already thinking of wall papering some of the rooms.
Let me know when I can help out babygirl!! I’m here for ya! :)

Kevin called this evening he was pretty excited, he and a friend were at “the leafs” game and as he said “close enough to spit on the ice” !! he got a really good deal on tickets then traded them up for even better tickets for very little money !! He is pretty excited about that given that he is a BIG TML fan!!! and there was no hockey last year at all !!

DJ was down today we did a little shopping and had lunch, and then stopped over to Elva’s (my sisters) for tea. I SOO enjoy her visits !! funny how you just “click” with some people :) I’m very glad she is my Sister in Law :) (although I think of her as more like a sister). We are a lot alike, heck we even share the same birthday , haha.
maybe next week we’ll head to Ch’town to do our window shopping/christmas hunting !

Tomorrow is Hump day folks!!

Back to the ole grind

Ellen | September 26, 2005

Well things are getting back to normal here, after the holidays.
Karla is offically done at WalMart and is now working full time at her new job as manager .

I went to Kinkora yesterday, a friend of mine was launching her book “Stop Seeing Me!! ” . I hope she sells all 100 copies she made for the launch !! She is a wonderful lady and I’m sure she will do very well with her talent to write!
Good Luck Char!!

its a rainy day here today, I’ve finished reading my books, and am waiting for some to come in to the library again, found a new author that I like while we were away, Eileen Dreyer.

DJ will be down this week for a visit, had a quick visit with her and Nick on Saturday they stopped in before we left to go to Ch’town to pick up my cell phone, (they replaced it this time).

There are an awful lot of new series on this year, which ones will you watch regularly? I have got the TIVO set to get season passes to the following ones.
CSI, CSI Miami,CSI NY, Law & Order, L&O CI, L&O SVU, Crimianl Minds, Close to Home, House,Ghost Whisperer, Survivor,Amazing Race (not sure this one will be one I’ll watch all the time), Bones, Lost, Reunion, Without a Trace, Cold Case, Desperate Housewives, Extreme Makeover Home edition, 3 Wishes.
I decided to veto the others, Invasion, Threshold, E-Ring, Numbers, Comander and Chief. Since there is just no way to get them all in. As it is I will have some that I will weed out according to how good they are.
How do you pick and choose which new series you will watch and still get your favorite shows in throughout the week ?

Pictures Posted

Wendell | September 24, 2005

Well I took a little time to add some of the pictures to the Photo Album, these are stright from the camera with no editing done to the pictures as I haven’t had time yet to try and make them any better or crop any of them yet. I made two sections one called NHIS Race (Pictures from the race track) and another called White Mountains (Pictures from driving through the White Mountains).

Here is a video clip from the race, it is in QuickTime format. Race Clip

We Are Back Home

Wendell | September 20, 2005

Well we arrived back home safe and sound tonight around 8:15PM, a little tired at the moment, we travelled a little over 2300 KM over the last 5 days, so this post will be a bit short, however once we get caught up on things here after being away since Fri. we will get some time to sort through the couple hundred photo’s and 60 minutes of video I’ll get some of them in the photo album and some short video clips of the racing event.
