Time to Paint

Well the landlord dropped off some paint yesterday , so I now have paint for the entrance, dinning room, kitchen, woodwork, cubboards, door, and front step.
I think I will start with the front step, if I can get that done today so it can be dry by the time the mailman comes by tomorrow .
maybe the first of the week I’ll start in the entry way, but I need to find a step ladder for right inside the door. even with my little stepstool I can’t reach above that window and over the door way.
the rest of it I can, figure if I can get the entry done this coming week, then I’d like to do the kitchen, cubboards and woodwork that’s really all that needs to be done the dinning room is fine I think but I’ll see once I get the rest done.

Three more weeks until we go on our trip to New Hampshire. :)

Last month I mentioned my sister was home from Ont. she had been home in June for a visit and again last month, she is fighting cancer. well she is in hospital and will likely be staying in hospital, the dr tells her she has aprox, 1 or 2 weeks left.
I hate that she’s so far away, but am thankful I have lots to keep me busy !
Thankfully she has 4 of her children around her and her best friend is there with her.

Now I must go get ready to start painting my front step.

Enjoy these last days of summer weather folks, it will soon be over and we’ll be dealing with cooler days of fall !

Later the same day:

The front step is now painted!!! looks better at least but not sure how long it will last as it is latex paint that I had to work with :P

As I was in for a visit with you yesterday, I know all of this, but that doorway looks brand new!
Not much I can say about Aunt Juanita, (we ourselves are getting used to losing at least one family member each year)but it is still too sad when that time comes around.

Painting, ain’t it fun! We are going to be doing the same real soon. Rich says he would like to wait till the cooler weather is upon us but I am quite the impatient one sometimes.

What colors do you have? We are picking out the colors now. I think my living room and area (open concept) will be a light tan color, and I need to figure out colors for the bathroom. Any suggestions?

Ellen, I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I completely understand what her family is going through. I just lost my Mom in 2003 to cancer. The hardest thing I have ever done is say bye to my Mom… :(
I guess it is a part of life though…. saying goodbye..

    Stay busy my friend…((big hugs))

it sounds like more than it actually is Faye :) I’ll start the woodwork and cubboards this week and just pick at the rest.

We are going to Loudon to see the Nascar race. it should be a really good time! Wendell’s sister and her husband are coming with us, I can’t wait to go!

So much paint! You will be all winter getting it done, or I would anyway.

I am so sorry about your sister. You and the family must be going through a very stressful time, glad you got to see her before she got too sick.

Where in NH are you going? Our friends live way at the southwest corner in Walpole. Paul and Krista will be going there this fall too!
