Rainy Weather

Well its been a fairly rainy week, but hopefully the rain will soon come to an end.

This week has been tireing to say the least, with the death of a family member, some things are just so hard to understand, its hard enough to deal with the death of a loved one but when its by their own hand it makes it even harder on the family.  There seems to be an epidemic here lately with suicides on the Island. 5 in the last month!!  and most are young people !! Our niece was only 33 and left behind 3 young boys to try to get thru without her. not to mention her 6 brothers and 1 sister. I guess no one will ever understand what drives a person to take their own life. It has to be one of the hardest things to deal with, all the unanswered questions, the waves of emotion that go along with it as well.

You look at others who are fighting for their lives dealing with cancers and other disease’s and then you have someone who seemed to have everything to live for and they throw it away.

Two young people on the same day seems a bit odd for such a small area. but that was the case on Sunday.

Tonight is the Relay in Charlottetown, hopefully they raise lots of $$ for the cause.  I hope the weather gets better for them before this evening, its so dark and overcast right now they could have a long cold nite.

With the weather being what it is today I think I will just relax with a good book and take the day “off” so to speak . smile

Have a great weekend everyone !!

Oh my goodness, that is a hard thing to understand Ellen, and I honestly don’t think we ever will.

I hope the weather is nice on the Island this weekend cause it sure isn’t here.  We had a total of 15 minutes of sunshine in Halifax… *darn it all*

Take care and big huggers to you!!!

Sorry you had such a sorrowfilled week. Suicide is so hard to understand and cope with. I had two first cousins, two first cousins once remove and a second cousin all commit suicide and a close family member who has been hospitalized a couple times for suicidal thoughts. I’m not suicidal myself but it really hurts and upsetting when you can’t do anything to prevent it.

Do you go to the Ch’town relay too? When I heard on the radio about it yesterday I thought of your relay last weekend. Faye
