While out and about this morning having my regular morning Tim’s coffee I took a little look around down on the water front, and discovered that the Summerside Fire Department have once again this year put a car out on the ice in the harbour. Now you are saying to yourself why and the heck is the Fire Department putting a car out on the ice, well each year the Summerside Firefighters Assocation do a fundraiser, so they put a car on the ice in the harbour and sell tickets to people guessing when the ice will melt enough for the car to fall through and sink.

Well yesterday was the first day of spring!!! Hopefully that means no more snowstorms!! but don’t count on it

I’m slowly getting my cleaning done , yesterday got a start on the basement at least what I can do myself anyway, today my sister is coming down to give me a hand and we’ll tackle the cubboards and fridge and stove and possibly get my floors done. That will put a big dent in it for sure.

Karla had a fun time on her birthday her friends took her out clubbing after the cake and icecream at the hospital and they had a ball.

Hopeing to get up to my brothers for a day or so soon, will likely try to do that next week.

Easter is this weekend, which doesn’t mean much to for us as no small children to hide eggs for ect.

Karla is going to be busy with my nieces little ones Saturday painting eggs and stuff, they will really enjoy that I’m sure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARLA!!!   our little girl is now 20 yrs old ! Where did the time go???

Hope everyone has a wonderful St. Patricks day !!

This evening we are taking Karla and some of her friends out to supper and then we’ll take the cake and icecream over to the hospital where she will open her gifts with her grandmother who is unable to come out to supper with us.

tomorrow Karla goes for a job interview if she gets it she will be working both at Wal Mart (nights) and the co-op days and weekends. she will be a very busy girl if she takes on this 2nd job. But it will make it easier for her to save for school. so good for you karla !!

Her friends are taking her to Summerstreet tonight for a Punk’d show, I’m sure they will have a great time there as well.

I’ve been off work now for a week , haven’t accomplished too much so far but I guess next week is another week, haha

If I can get Wendell to give me a hand I want to get the basement cleaned out and his computer room and possibly set up the spare bed in the computer room so we can get it out of the basement before it gets musty smelling and stuff. would be nice to have a spare bed set up for company anyways.

I’m back to my walking finally and a little swimming, next week I start the aqua kickboxing as well so that should be lots of fun.

So here it is 3 pm Karla just got a call from her brother to say Happy Birthday (his 2nd attempt to call her today) and she wants her hair done (red streaks) before she has her shower and gets ready for her evening.

Here’s hoping the St. Paddy’s storm doesn’t hit to many to hard!!

Well its been a busy day today, but got a lot accomplished, As we made supper this evening I got some bread going in the bread maching, and after I left the house Karla baked a chocolate cake which I icinged after I got home.

Got back into walking again, Trina and I went down to the mall and walked for almost an hour, and I tried out my new ankel weights will have to use them a few times to get used to them, after leaving the mall I went up to the hospital to visit the MIL for a bit, then off to the super store to get a few groceries, they are changing that all around and its hard to find stuff, .  After getting the groceries in the house, Karla put them away for me and I put a batch of cookies in the oven (philsbury dough people I’m not THAT ambisious this time of nite!!). and packed my lunch for tomorrow.

So now I’m sitting enjoying my tea and relaxing for a while, before I get ready for bed and get up to start the day all over again tomorrow

next week I’m going to try the aqua kickboxing at Centenial pool and see what that will be like.

Finally starting to feel like getting this ole body moving again, seems like its been a while since I took some time to just look after ME

So hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and get in shape (something besides ROUND) for summer!

Barb is doing well and the MIL is doing good too,

My Good friend Debbie Gibson is a proud new Grandmother, her first grandchild made his entry into the world Friday nite at 10 pm. weighing in at 8lbs 8 ozs and his name is Mason Wiley.  needless to say Debbie and her husband are pretty excited, and are just beaming with pride over this little bundle of joy! 

CONGRATULATIONS DEBBIE AND GARNETT ON YOUR NEW GRANDSON!!
