Last night was our office Christmas Party, we had a great time our whole table won prizes (only employees can win so our guests didn’t win anything) I won $100 , Judy won $100 and Rhoda won $200 !! and then right behind us one of the team leaders won $100.  4 other couples came with us but had to sit at another table as the tables weren’t big enough to set us all. I guess we got the lucky table. HAHA

So After eating our meal, and winning our money, we left.. and headed over to a little bar to listen to people sing kareokie (sp?). We figured that would be more fun that a stuffy ole office party

So we went over to the Wing since that’s where Judy was going and had a great time!!  lots of people got up to sing some were very good others, welllllllll they had fun

I think anyone who has the guts to get up and sing (wether drunk or sober) deserves a round of applause wether they can carry a tune or not, like I said some were really good singers then there were others that didn’t even know the words and couldn’t keep up to them to sing, BUT they got up there and entertained all us that were there having a few drinks. 

Judy even got up and sang !! and I have to admit, she’s not half bad!! lots better than I could do I know!!

I think later today I will go and sort out my christmas decorations and try to decide what and how much I will put up around the Livingroom and dining room.

Ohh yes and make another angel.  yes that’s right folks after all the cursing and swearing trying to get the 1st one done I decided to torture myself a little more and make one more!! So I will work on that today as well.

Fitness

Well another weekend has come and gone, its a busy time of year, for sure.

Next weekend is our office Christmas party already!!

I spent this evening trying to make a nice little Christmas Angel that I want to incorporate into a Centerpiece for the table if I ever get her done the way I want her, haha I’m not the most craftiest person in the world when it comes to working with material and glue guns!!

It was a beautiful day here today, my brother and I took his little guy up to friendship park and walked all through the trails in the woods up there it was sooooo nice, leaves crunching under our feet and the fresh air!!

I will post a few pictures when Wendell gets them downloaded to the computer for me,

Wendell is axiously awaiting his newest toy , his IMAC he ordered it the other day, I am pouting because I wanted one   Ohh well I guess in a couple of years I will get that one and he will get another new one, haha in the meantime I suspect I will get his old one

I am finally all done of my Christmas shopping and have over half of it wrapped up.  next thing is getting what needs to be shipped off shipped. Wendell and Karla hasn’t started theirs yet, but they better get at it if they want to put anything in the boxes that are being shipped!!

We had a scary thing happen last night, there was police cars and an ambulance at our next door neighbors we were worried that something had happened to them as they are a retired couple, but found out today that it wasn’t them at all but a couple of kids had passed through their yard and apparently one of the kids threw another kids hat up on the roof of a shed, so he climbed up to get it and when he was coming down he decided to jump from on shed to another and didn’t make it, he fell and apparently broke a collar bone and has a few broken ribs possibly.

Wendell’s mom and sister will be arriving back home from their trip to Calgary to visit her (wendell’s sisters) daughter, next weekend.  and the weekend after that my sister in law should be arriving back from her visit to Ontario from visiting her sisters.  I miss her visits while she’s gone, we have our girls day out every week to window shop and go for lunch. So I’ll be glad to have her back to go do a little more Window shopping and stuff again.

Work is going fairly well , I’m getting back into it, although its hard at the begining to get back in that mode after being off for 5 months!!

I’m still going to Aqua Arobics 2 nights a week, its alot of fun. The girls are a hoot that go. we have so much fun in the 45 minutes we’re there.

Am thinking I might put my tree up on Dec. 5th, I’m putting up an artifical one this year, so I can put it up a little earlier than I normally would. So the 5th I will be busy decorating the house and tree

Even tho there is no snow yet there are a lot of people in the Christmas spirit already!! Lots of outside decorations are up around town and some even have their trees up already!!

Well its that time of nite again, I guess I better get ready for bed and get things ready to go back to the ole grind tomorrow

Well I finally got to order my new iMac G5 yesterday, so now we wait for it’s arrival.

We are going out to a chinese buffet tonight and then to a little bar for drinks after that, its been a loooong time since we’ve been out for an evening, I’m looking forward to it

I started back to work this week and already we are into the swing of things for Christmas parties ect. ours will be held Nov.27 this year, seems a little early

only 7 weeks left till ole Saint Nick appears

I’m pretty much ready as far as gifts go , I will be alllll done once Kev and Shan give me their wish lists so that I can go finish up.  .

Going to start wrapping stuff here in the next week or so, and start handing it out, as people come to visit I’ll start giving them their gifts to take home, haha less running around to do that last week before xmas.

Wendell will be getting his new computer in the next couple of weeks, although when we were up at Kevins and he took us to the IMAC store I had requested a Mac first, however HE is getting his first

  and I might take his old one (at least it will be an upgrade from what I have now

Here’s a little something to make you smile.  (No offense to anyone in those positions).

Once upon a time, in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake.

By a surprising coincidence, both were blind from birth.

One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down.

This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit.

“Oh my,” said the bunny, “I’m terribly sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you.  I’ve been blind since birth, so, I can’t see where I’m going. In fact, since I’m also an orphan, I don’t even know what I am.”

“It’s quite okay,” replied the snake. “Actually, my story is as yours. I too have been blind since birth, and also never knew my mother. Tell you what, maybe I could slither all over you, and work out what you are so at least you’ll have that going for you.”

“Oh, that would be wonderful” replied the bunny.

So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, “Well, you’re covered with soft fur, you have

really long ears, your nose twitches, and you have a soft cottony tail. I’d say that you must be a bunny rabbit.”

“Oh, thank you, “ cried the bunny, in obvious excitement.

The bunny suggested to the snake,”Maybe I could feel you all over with my paw, and help you the same way that you’ve helped me.”

So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, “Well, you’re smooth and slippery, and you have a forked tongue, no backbone and no balls. I’d say you must be either a team leader, a supervisor or possibly someone in senior management.”
