Well its halloween I wonder how many trick or treaters we’ll get this year, I’m ready for about 40 we only had 20 last year so we should be good

I’m finally all done in the potatoe field and go back to my office job tomorrow, it will be nice to get back into a routine!!

Have a few meals made ahead and put in the freezer, 4 lasgana’s 3 meatloafs, 4 chili’s, and a homemade pizza, (made 2 but cooked up one yesterday)

What kinds of treats do you pass out to your trick or treaters?

this year we are handing out, hickory sticks, bubblegum pops (suckers) mini bars and apples.

Well I just might get to bed at a decent hour tonight

Made a nice stew for supper that was good and have lots left over for W and K to have for suppers a day or two this coming week.

only have a couple more things to do before getting into my pj’s for the evening, pack my lunch for tomorrow, finish the laundry (my field clothes) and go out and pooperscoop the yard, (can get ahead of you fast if you don’t do it daily!)

by that time I’m hoping the Races are over so I can have the TV for a couple hours to catch up on some of my shows since I haven’t seen any TV since Thursday.

I’m finally starting to feel warm again, last night I froze all evening at work, so cold my whole body felt like pins and needles !! I stayed in the shower last night before my bath with the water as hot as I could get it and just tried to get warm, I thought I had it beat until I got out of the bathroom after my bath (nice and steamy warm in there) and then the chills started again   When I went to bed I had to take a fuzzy blanket and wrap up in it and then get under the covers , even my bedsheets felt cold to me!!! but the fuzzy blanket was soooo toasty warm, was a real pain tho when I had to get out through the nite to go to the bathroom OMG was like I was stepping into a freezer all over again!!

Anywhooo all warmed up now, but I’m keeping that fuzzy blanket close by for tomorrow nite

Just got out of the tub, worked a 14 hr day today, 15 yesterday (potatoe harvester), and my back is KILLING me! I don’t know WHY its bothering me sooooo badly lastnight and today it didnt’ the first few days out there, but the last 2 have been HORRID

We were suppose to have a SHORT day today but apparently someone forgot to inform the driver of the HARVESTER of this and we ended up working late this evening.

On the UPSIDE, one of the Truckers was nice enough to bring all of us a nice bottle of homemade wine this evening and I just finished having a nice BIG glass of it and it was SO NICE (while soaking in a nice HOT tub)

I can sleep in tomorrow and boy do I plan to!!! although I would like to be up early enough to go have a nice breakfast OUT somewhere

The wedding last saturday was lovely! was held INSIDE but once the ceramoney was all over the sun came out and it was great for the photographer to take some wonderful pictures

Karla got herself a new job she will be starting at Wal Mart sometime this coming week (night shift)so she’s pretty happy with that, of course that will mean that she won’t be able to share the potatoe harvesting job with me next week. 

But that’s ok far as I know I won’t be working the fields after next week as my regular job will start Nov. 1 YIPPIE  

They called me yesterday but I was in the field so I have to call them back Monday morning but from what I understand from friends who work the same program as me it will start Nov 1 and run till Feb 25, which is nice normally its only till mid January and then a few weeks delay to the next program, now the only thing that could go wrong with having the extra time is they wont’ let you leave one program to go to the next one ( no overlapping) and if the other program I work starts the 1st week of Feb like it usually does I will lose out on that program and in the end actually end up with even LESS time than I normally get   which means I could be done of work Feb 25 instead of sometime in June.!

Ahh well can’t worry about that now at least I’m getting my call to go back again this is a good thing!! 

Tomorrow I want to make a nice Stew for supper I can almost taste it now!!

Sorry for the long delay in updateing here, will try to upday soon although this coming week will be pretty hectic as we’ll likely be working 15 hr days.

Well this afternoon we are off to attend my Niece’s wedding.  It was to be an outside wedding but unfortunantly it is still raining so I guess we will be inside at Town Hall.

Ahh well as long as the wedding goes along nicely it really doesn’t matter where it is held.

They have been living together now for 9 yrs so wasn’t really much I could think of to buy for a gift so I got them a nite at a nice Hotel here.

We had been frantically searching for our digital camera now for a week and could NOT find it anywhere!! well today while getting dressed I went to put something in my sewing machine drawer and loo and behold there was the camera!! WTF was it doing in there???

Anyway we found it and now can use it to get some nice pictures at the wedding.

I finally got my hair tamed down a bit at the hairdressers yesterday it was getting out of control!! after thining it out and trimming it up my perm has come back to life!! feels sooo much better than that frizz look I’ve had for the past month or so

So had my shower, am in my dress, just need to apply a little makeup now (if I can see with these damn contacts in!!)   I really need new contacts!!  have our eye appointments on Tuesday I hope I will be able to get the disposable ones this time.

Halloween pranksters are starting already had a pumpkin smashed against our house last week,   Little buggers, they took a pumpkin that a little girl next door had carved and demolished it!!  its one thing if they want to BUY their own pumpkin and smash them but to take a childs and destroy it is just not right!!

Yep I was in the bloody potatoe field, heavy rain and high winds and we stuck it out till 5 pm

There was a bunch of not so happy campers coming on the end of it all !! considering we were told we wouldn’t be going at all today!!

got our call at 7 am to say be there for 8:30 !! WTF!! I’m still in bed, no lunch packed,clothes still in the laundry !!!    AND we’re suppose to get the tail end of the hurrican today!!! And WE DID!!!

anyhooo, back home now and all cleaned up we were literal mud monsters by the end of the day!!

now its time to sit back and relax for a bit!!

Doubt if there will be any digging tomorrow as its supposed to rain for a couple of days.

On the bright side when I got home I found that Wendell had been given a Tim Hortons entry for a chance to win free coffee for a year!! Damn Straight I filled that baby out!!

One thing I noticed getting back to the potato field, sure brings out the potty mouth on people!!! I haven’t heard so may F’s flying in a long time.. LOL
