Busy Fulfilling day :>)

Ellen | August 20, 2004

Today has been a busy but very productive one, this morning I drove my niece up to West Point area to drop off her kids at my sisters (her mothers), then we came back here and she re-Permed my hair ( we did it a few weeks ago but it didn’t take to well). It turned out much better this time.

after that I took her home and came back and watched Dr.Phil and Oprah, then I was off to the store for a few groceries.

And over to a friends house to borrow her slow cooker. Then I got busy shock  I started by putting the groceries away, then I cooked up the hamburger to get started at my double batch of Chili, after I got the 2 slowcookers filled up with the yummy chili, I stared on the rolls, 2 apple pies and I even attempted to make a dessert I hadn’t made before it is a brownie base then a mixture of coconut, sweetened condensed milk and some skore pieces topped with sliced almonds and a few mini choc chips, not sure how its going to taste but it looks good, haha wink Not bad started cooking all this around 8:30 its now quarter to 11 and I just took the last item out of the oven!!  tongue laugh

Now you may be asking yourself What the hell we are going to do with all this food, well we are going to share it, Our Friend Rhoda got out of the hospital late this afternoon and she has a teenage son at home that likes to eat. So to be sure that “mama” doesn’t try to do anything for a while I’m bringing a pot of chili, a pie, some rolls and half the brownie dessert over to her house to keep them in homemade goodies for a while.

She is having a hard enough time to get up and down out of a sitting position let alone try to cook or anything.

Tomorrow I am going to go drop this stuff off for her and then continue on to pick up another friend Debbie and we are going to head for Charlottetown to pick up a few things the main thing I want to get is more tab drapes for the livingroom, when i got them I didn’t have enough cash to get the proper number of panels so they are stretched out and dont’ look very nice so I can get them fairly cheap at wicker emporium. When I looked them up on the sears site (which is where I got them back in Oct) they want like $40 a panel ( I only paid 17 when I got them) No way I’m paying that much!!  mad  Not when I can go to ch’town and get them for 18 per panel, !!

Today is one of thoes feel good days, I accomplished a lot and feel good about it.

What is the kind of thing that gives you the feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment ?

CARPET CLEANING

Ellen | August 17, 2004

Well the day has come I’m finally getting the carpets cleaned by professionals today along with Wendell’s comfy chair.

Having 2 cats and a dog in the house one NEEDS to have the carpets cleaned every once in a while by the professionals hmmm .

I took the youngest cat outside yesterday and brushed, brushed, brushed him and massaged loose fur out of him, I swear there is no way that cat should have ANY fur left so much of it came out of him!! How does one animal shed SO MUCH and still have a coat ???

My good friend Rhoda is in Moncton this morning having her back surgery. Hopefully she will get her mobility back again and be able to move around pain free after today.

I was down to the garden yesterday, its coming along nicely, picked yellow and green stringbeans, a pepper, some beets, and a big onion to have with supper yesterday, all that along with a nice beefeater steak and new potatoes, makes a nice meal!  wink

I’ve been getting lots of big cleaning done the last couple of days, will soon have it completed .

Summer is almost over folks downer Where did the time go???

Is anyone playing the lottery? Super 7 is up really high right now. I keep buying the tickets but never win more than a free ticket angry  I would be nice to win the big one but heck I’d be happy to win the TAG part !! The meat manager at our local superstore won the Tag last week. Lucky guy!

Todays question,

What is on your list of FIRST things to do if you won it big in the lottery?

What a way to spend a Sunday!!

Ellen | August 8, 2004

Well we accomplished quite a bit today, Wendell helped me move the Dining room around making room for a large China Cabinet his mom has and we will be taking for her. While in the process of moving things around I wanted to see if I could get my computer desk put in there as well but it just doesn’t look right no matter how we set it up in there so I guess it will be staying in the kitchen at least for now. Maybe once Karla moves out I will put it up in her room and use that as an office / spare room.

After Wendell helped move stuff he went back to his X Box and I cleaned up and rearranged my plants and ornaments ect. Then it was on to more cleaning, got a bunch of laundry done including the bedding, and the bathroom got a scrub down top to bottom. I stoppped for a bit when our Sister and Mum dropped in with Tims coffee, (THANKS SIS) that was a welcome break. after the visit it was back to setting things up and getting things put where I wanted them. Tidying the kitchen and general cleaning all round. Broke again to run out and pick up some supper. And then back at it. I started in our room and cleaned out drawers and whatnot then decided that since I was at it and throwing a bunch of stuff out I might as well clean out the cabinets in the bathroom so back into the bathroom I went and cleaned out all under the sink and the drawer by the sink and then the medicine / catch all closet.  I didn’t even start the linnen closet yet red face

Tomorrow Will entale finishing up the livingroom, (vacuuming dusting ect) and cleaning out the closet under the stairs. Then it will be all done, I have to get ahold of a carpet cleaner to get them to come in and give me an estimate on cleaning the livingroom/hallway and Ezyboy chair.

The next project will be the basement that is going to be a couple days work sick  But will be nice to have it done.

I am hoping to get all the stuff gathered up and have a yard sale. When I get started at the basement I’ll just take whatever will be going in the yard sale right out to the storage building and it will be out of the house.

Then if I don’t get rid of it all its right there and can go with the garbage on garbage day smirk .

I wont’ spend too awful much time with the cleaning tomorrow as my sister in law and niece are coming down for a visit before she (niece) goes back home, she is home visitiing her grampa (my brother).

So I’ll go out to lunch with them and maybe do a little shopping. maybe the lunch and shopping will help me get past this look.

Yesterday I went with my Niece to shop for her wedding attire, she is not having a traditional wedding its going to be small and simple so she chose a nice navy blue outfit, I even managed to find a little dress while we were there imagine finding a dress in a wedding boutique for 39 bucks!! gulp

Not much else happening the last few days, Been watching Big Brother 5 faithfully, its really good this year. I’m enjoying it. Some of the people on there are so weird.. LOL

well that’s about all the news for now. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I’ll leave you with a little haha for the day….

An airline’s passenger cabin was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone into a good mood as he served them food and drinks.

As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and announced to the passengers, “Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he’ll be landing the big scary plane shortly, lovely people, so if you could just put up your trays that would be super.”

On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed that a well-dressed rather exotic looking woman hadn’t moved a muscle. “Perhaps you didn’t hear me over those big brute engines. I asked you to raise your trazy-poo so

the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground.”

She calmly turned her head and said, “In my country, I am called a Princess. I take orders from no one.”

To which the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat, “Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country, I’m called a Queen, so I outrank you.

Tray-up, bitch!!
