End of another year

Ellen | December 31, 2003

Well tomorrow will bring not only a new day but a new year!

As we look back on the year that has passed we will look ahead and vow Not to make the same mistakes.  And we will look back on all the good things that has happened in the last year and hope for more of the same .

Only 7 1/2 more hours and we will be counting down to the new year, ARE you all ready?

I had thought of taking the tree down today but decided instead to wait until Day 1 of 2004 to do that deed.

So instead I made some homemade pizza’s and picked up some cheer to sip on for the evening and will settle down to a nice cozy evening at home with Hubby to ring in the new year.

I hope everyone has a Safe and Happy new years Eve whatever you are doing to celebrate tonight.  and hope that you have loved ones around you to help you ring in 2004 with lots of smiles and laughter!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Santa’s Job is done for another year.

Ellen | December 29, 2003

Well ole Santa gets to take it easy for another year now, the big day has come and gone.

Seems everyone here was pretty darn good all year, by the looks of all the goodies that was under the tree anyway.

Kevin and Wendell are enjoying their X Box’s (don’t expect to see them again until spring).

Had a great Christmas meal with the family all here.

Lots of visiting over the holidays,

Kevin brought home his special edition collections of Lord of the Rings so we watched those over the christmas holidays as well and we will go to see the final Show at the Theater sometime this week.

I think some of us are going to go to the outdoor celebrations for new years eve and enjoy some live music, hot chocolate and sleigh rides . That should be an enjoyable evening, nice way to start the new years off I think.

And of course we have to think about what our new years resolutions will be.

Hope you have had a Great Christmas and Here is Hopeing the new year is filled with nothing but Good cheer and Happy times for one and all.

Try to get all those credit cards paid off and get ready to do it all again by December. haha

What will be your new years resolutions? are they the same ones you made last year and maybe didn’t complete or keep ? or are they totally new ones ?

Here are a few I came across , Hope they give you a chuckle and maybe you can relate to them as well.. LOL

Santa was good to me

Wendell |

Well the Jolly old boy was good to me this year and left most of what I wanted from my wish list under the tree.

From the Christmas List

Xbox Game Console.

Portable Storage Device.

Rolling Stones DVD.

Some new clothing.

And a bit of other stuff that wasn’t on my list, so we did quite well this year. Had lots of good food to eat, and of course over indulged a couple of times and had to work it off laying back in the easy chair playing a game on the Xbox.

The family is all here.

Ellen | December 24, 2003

Kevin and Shan arrived yesterday!! Shan left to go to her mom’s today but her and her mom will be up Christmas day for supper.

We all got comfy in the livingroom last night and watched the family favorite “A Garfield Christmas” .

This evening we went out to Wendell’s sisters and brought Giz with us to meet their new addition “Charlie”, Charlie is a 10 week old chocolate lab who is VERY playful and ackward with his long legs (which he has yet to grow into ) haha he was just a little to playful for Giz’s liking Giz being the old guy that he is. I’m sure as Charlie gets bigger and settles down some they will be great friends, there is quite an age difference between them 10 weeks verses 10 years.. LOL so it will take a while for them to find a happy medium but I’m sure they will.

Karla has some friends in tonight.

I got busy and made my taco dip for tomorrow, as we are expecting a few people in through to visit and exchange gifts , so want to have some of the sweets unthawed and some munchies for them all.

Tomorrow is my last day of work for 11 days!!! woohooo!! half day tomorrow and we’re done for Christmas !!! won’t be much working done tomorrow as we have our pot luck at 9 am followed by our Christmas concert at 11 am once that is over and the tickets are drawn for prizes and cash we will be on our way home smile

Will be nice to get home and put my feet up for a while, must remember to take the Turkey out tomorrow too , then finish up any last minute laundry and tidying up and then I”m going to sit back and have a nice cold glass of wine and relax for the evening.

Hard to believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve!! This last week or so flew by!! only another day and a half and it will be all over but the mess. .

Well time to put this ole body to bed get a good nites sleep for tomorrow promises to be a full day again before the R & R kicks in.

Hope everyone has a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

6 More Sleeps !!!

Ellen | December 20, 2003

Christmas is coming fast!! only 6 more sleeps (as the little ones would say).

And of course for our household only 3 more sleeps and we get the best christmas present of all , Kevin and Shan will arrive home .

I don’t know what I did to deserve such a wonderful family, but I sure am greatful for them all!!

Starting with my wonderful Husband, Love you Babe, after 24 yrs I still can’t believe my luck in having you for my husband!  Your the best.

Karla has been such a BIG help to me , I am pretty excited about Christmas this year because unlike other years I’m not feeling so stressed out. Karla has been making it possible for me to get all my errands done and my baking by keeping the house cleaning all caught up which makes my life so much easier this time of year!!  and looking under our tree here I guess the family must have thought I was a pretty good mom / wife this year WOW there is alot of stuff under there!!

Tomorrow is a pretty easy day for me, finish up some laundry, deliver a few gifts to family and then a little last minute shopping with Karla and I will be free for the rest of the weekend to catch up on some much needed R&R. Once Kevin and Shan arrive and I get done of work on Christmas Eve we will be able to sit back and relax and REALLY enjoy the holidays!!.

I hope everyone is happy with their gifts and trimmings under the tree , and hopefully everyone will be healthy and happy all thru the holidays and all the year through!!

Christmas is my favorite time of year for sure, not because of gifts but because of being so blessed with having my family all together enjoying each others company!!

I hope all of you are able to spend christmas with the ones you love,!!

Drive safe over the holidays and remember to tell the people you care about just how much you do care!!

here is a cute little card ,

to read it click on “more”.
