Well its been a while since we posted so I thought I’d fill in another post.

We’ve had my sister here with us since middle of June and she has decided to head back to Barrie at least for a while to help her kids out and get some business settled up there for herself so she will be flying out to head back in a week. Aug. 8th to be exact.  She says she might be back around Christmas time again

Been watching Big Brother faithfully its actually a pretty good one this time, alot of alliances being broken and stuff, Makes it interesting to see what happens week to week with them .

I’ve been reading a series written by Tim La Haye and Peter Jenkins I’ve read 9 of the 11 books that are out in the series and am waiting for the last 2 books to come into the library so I can finish reading it all after that I will have to wait until next yr to read the last book in the series as it doesn’t come out until march of 04 and then will likely be into the fall before the library has it .

Looks like we could be all alone this fall as our youngest is talking about moving to Alberta either in Sept or Oct. . I will have to find a hobby or get another job to keep me busy, It will sure be different not having to run her back and forth to work each day and to have our days of going to the pool and stuff when she’s not working.

I’m not sure I’m ready for this move she is intending on, Hopefully she won’t be gone long I am hoping that being the homebody she is she will be back home or at least on the Island again to live by next summer .

Wendell has been having a ball with his newest toy he got, his TIVO he’s been programing and all that good stuff now for a while, he gets it running and then decides there is other things he wants to try with it and goes back to the drawing board again with it. But it keeps him busy.

Our dog has discovered how to open cubboard doors recently, he was caught in the pantry cubboard we have munching away on some cookies late one nite after everyone had gone to bed, and apparently he has dragged all the dog food and treats out other nites as well, ( a little midnite snack anyone ?) so I’ve been putting a large plastic spoon in the handles so he can’t get into the pantry cubboard now and the first nite I did that he waited until everyone was in bed and he was scratching like crazy trying to get it open. Apparently the cat was taking this all in because the other day while the spoon wasn’t in the doors we heard the squeeking of the doors and went to check it out and there inside the cubboard with the door shut was the cat checking out all the canned goods!! at 10 yrs old and 14 yrs old they are still learning new things!! . Guess its true that your never to old to learn new tricks!!

Another weekend is upon us, hope everyone gets to enjoy it as there won’t be many summer weekends left!!! hard to believe summer is 2/3 over!!

Well its been rainy weather and when its not raining its very high humidity so its sticky and yucky out and by the look of the weather forcaste its not going to get any better until next week

Big Brother is going well anyone else out there watching it? I thought it was great when Michelle got her shock last show , that child shouldn’t have been in there anyway !

My new nephew got out of the hospital today he’s been in with some reflux problems and was unable to keep his milk down. But he’s doing much better now with the help of some meds and being proped up in bed after a feeding. Poor little guy is only 6 weeks old and he’s on a form of Zantex already!! talk about stress!!

Not alot to update today, hasn’t been alot to do lately with the yucky weather, maybe we’ll get lucky and get a really good Thunder Storm and clear the air some .

Well its a rainy day here today, so I guess today we will make it a movie day. We are planing on watching The Banger Sisters and Final Destination 2.

Its a good day to stay inside and curl up on the couch with a good movie .

Took Giz to the dog park yesterday, He had a great time even made a new friend “Gypsy” Giz played with his soccor ball and ran free in the park for a half hour.

We went down to listen to the talent contest for the Lobster Carnival, the music was GREAT ! there is a lot of talent on this little Island. Almost HALF the singers were under 15 yrs old, and WOW could they sing!!

The finalists will perform again on Saturday nite. We will have to go to that for sure!

The show lasted just over 2 hours but it went by so fast that it sure didn’t seem like 2 hours. There were 19 singers, ranging in age from 10 up to middle aged.

It was a very nice way to spend and evening. and it was very much worth the $ 5.00 we spent to get in. The last song that was performed was from 3 sisters who were last years talent winners and they sang an oldie, How far is Heaven, Ohh we were almost in tears its such a sad song and they did such a good job of it .

This week is carnival week here, and today is the sidewalk sales downtown, I’m going to go down and check it out later on here. Not that I expect to find anything great to buy but I like browsing to see what is on sale .

Thursday and Saturday nite is the talent contest, we’ll have to go check that out too. We have some really good singers around here that usually take part in the contest.

Got the bikes dug out the other day, its going to take a while to get back onto riding them any distance , After not riding one for YEARS its really hard on the legs!!

It was so nice out yesterday I put the car thru the carwash and got it all cleaned up and was on my way home when I met Wendell, who apparently had an altercation with a seagull So last evening I had to take the Focus in to put it thru the carwash as well.  He really shouldn’t be picking on the seagulls they can drop quite a “Bomb” when they get mad. LOL
